These cute little beaded earrings have been made using glass beads and silver charms. I have chosen a variety of matching glass beads that I have attached to a silver chain. These beaded earrings come in pink, blue and stone colours. The hooks are sterling silver and bear the ’925′ hallmark.

The earrings are lightweight and also comfortable to wear. They measure about 4cm (1 3/4 in).

These beaded earrings will come in a nice organza gift bag.

Black Antique Glass Bead Bracelet

This handmade glass bead bracelet has been made using square glass beads and black antique wire. I have chosen a variety of matching square glass beads that I have linked using a black antique wire. The glass beads are all black and feature nice little shapes in colours that are similar to petrol. The bracelet closes using a trigger clasp. At the other end of this glass bead bracelet hangs a small round glass bead in black.

This glass bead bracelet is adjustable and will fit any wrist from 15 to 18cm (6 to 7in). The matching glass bead earrings are also available on the website. Have a look under the earrings section.

Wood Imitation Glass Charm Bracelet

Very feminine and casual, this handmade charm bracelet will easily go with many outfits. The chain and metal charms are silver plated and the 7 brown beads are made of glass. The bracelet closes with a silver trigger clasp. At the other end of the bracelet hangs a little silver charm featuring an elephant. The colour of the glass beads makes them look like they are made of wood. This beautiful glass charm bracelet is adjustable and will suit any wrist size from 15cm to 18cm (from 6 to 7in).

Jewellery trends for Spring/Summer 2012

Although my handmade jewellery doesn’t always follow the main jewellery trends, I like to know what the great designers are doing each season. Whether they specialise in jewellery or not it is interesting to see what they feature because it can be inspiring. I spend almost 2 hours on the train each day so that gives me more than enough time to look through fashion magazines and learn more about the jewellery trends for Spring/Summer 2012.

So what appears to be In Vogue for the coming season?

Charms, charms, charms… Charm bracelets and charm necklaces were already trendy last summer and I can already predict that they will be everywhere again next spring/summer. I personally love charms so I am delighted big designers such as Dolce & Gabbana and Lancome decided to feature such gorgeous pieces in their advertising campaigns. Oh and don’t forget your handbag charm too!

I have also noticed a lot of oversized jewellery. Traditional, discreet jewellery pieces are SO yesterday. In fact the bigger, the better. That way, you won’t go unnoticed and neither will your fashion sense. Oversized jewellery is also a great way to dress up a simple outfit. A few examples of designers featuring oversized jewellery include Prada and Armani.

Another one of the main jewellery trends is beaded jewellery, layers of them. Whether they are made of precious materials or imitations, beads have been used in many jewellery designs for Spring/Summer 2012. Multi strand necklaces in particular featuring faceted beads or freshwater pearls will be a big hit for the coming season. A few examples would include Folli Follie, Ralph Lauren and Miu Miu.

A few designers have also gone for a retro 70s style with chunky bangles. Play it disco with plain bright bangle like Hermes or more boho with flowery details like Folli Follie. The trick is to wear several of them. Remember layers are still one of the main jewellery trends.

These are only a few of the jewellery trends I have spotted for Spring/Summer 2012. And although I always try to create jewellery that is different and bold, I realise that some elements of the main trends can also be found in my handmade jewellery. Black Antique Charm Bracelet

This handmade charm bracelet is made out of various glass beads, silver charms, black antique silver chain and lobster clasp. The charm bracelet is available in green. Charm bracelets are currently some of my most popular pieces of jewellery and therefore are a must this season. If you like these charm bracelets you may also like my silver charm bracelets or the matching black antique charm necklace. Please note that the red charm bracelet has been sold already. Each charm bracelet measures around 19cm (7 1/2in). However it can also be adjusted to a smaller size as each link of the chain is large enough for the clasp to close.

This handmade charm necklace is made out of various glass beads in stone colours, silver charms, black antique silver chain and lobster clasp. This charm necklace is a response to my charm bracelets, which are currently some of my most popular pieces of jewellery. This charm necklace measures 44cm (about 17in). It can also be adjusted to a smaller size as each link of the chain is large enough for the clasp to close.

Southsea Boutique Market November 2011

So finally the day arrived… I packed all my handmade jewellery and props for the Southsea Boutique Market. I couldn’t decide what to leave behind so I took pretty much everything. I finally set up my table at the Portsmouth Guildhall and took a quick photo as a souvenir.

11 o’clock and customers started pouring in. All were curious to have a look at the range of handmade and vintage items that the Southsea Boutique Market had to offer. I have to admit I had to have a look around myself as well, leaving Will to deal with my stall for a little while. There was over 120 stalls, all amazing and full of interestings bits and pieces.

The day went very well and I had some very nice comments about my handmade jewellery. Some already purchased their Christmas presents from my table and seemed delighted.

The Southsea Boutique Market will be at the Portsmouth Guildhall again on Sunday, December 18th. Of course I will be there and maybe will rescue some people from their last minute Christmas shopping. Hope to see you all there!
